lyrics

Blood's laced with USA's mistakes, mother ain't okay
Tryna escape this racist age while Reagan's on the chase
Sacrifice is made on black lives for the paper
Then the crackers lie with no apple pie on their faces

I think I realized what the heartland is
Fucking Kansas?

This land simply wasn't planned for a man like me
Watch how the police so anti-peace
Strangers in my face thinking they know me
'Cause what they seen on TV, they think they know my rap
Memes on Instagram think they know how I'm black
People try predicting how the token's gonna act
I see it pretty different from the hope I used to have
Hard to even try to live without them holding on to masks
Folks act like they finished with the rap shit
When they never even started listening to rap
They only know the market's image of the game, I can't relate
To me it's art in all sizes and shapes
I used to think the USA was mostly like New York and LA
With Trump supporters but support for every race

Then I realized what the heartland is
Fucking Kansas, center of the map
The farther from the middle, the more democrats
But you can only go so far until the coasts stop your tracks
'Cause America is haunted by the ghost of it's past
And Gen Z's the first wave to hold us to the facts
But even most of them ain't black, so... fuck

Even tryna make woke a term is pretty tough
So I barely have the words to describe my struggle
Hope you understand why feminism's in trouble
Isolated man but I like the skin I have
I hear you say we're seen the same but that is not a fact
We got people tall as basketballs and small as giraffes
We got old and young, we got skinny, we got fat
We got red and we got blue, bitch of course there's white and black
